The entrance channel to Port Grimaud is subject to regular silting up, requiring maintenance dredging to avoid any hindrance to navigation and to ensure that ships have access to the lakeside town.
To this end, the Harbour Master's Office will be dredging the access channel and two areas to the north and south using a shovel mounted on a floating pontoon. The dredged sand will then be transported to the end of the beach at Port Grimaud Nord to a drainage area, in accordance with the provisions of the prefectoral decree of 24 February 2025.
In order to ensure the safety of local residents and users, parking and movement of all vehicles not involved in the work will be prohibited on the Avenue de la Mer, within the marked perimeter (see below), as will access to the Port Grimaud Nord beach, until Monday 31 March inclusive.
